Installation, Commissioning and Maintenance of Reciprocating and centrifugal Pumps
There exist two (2) basic pump types namely; reciprocating and centrifugal pumps. They are the most widely used pumps in the oil and gas industry and they can be found in all three streams of this for fluid handling which often involves the transfer of fluids. The number or size of pumps situated in a particular plant cannot be ascertained as a lot depends on the operations which are conducted at the location of interest.
Due to the wide range of pumps which are currently in circulation, most oil companies and petrochemical plant operators are faced with the challenge of identifying the right pumps with the capacity to deliver on the desired production output. If optimal performance of the pump is to be attained, it is important to note that not only is the selection process important, but the installation, commissioning and maintenance of these pumps is also a priority.
Our job is to help our clients handle this part of their business by making the best and most affordable pump choices with an easy-to-maintain option.
Our Objective:
Our primary objective is to ensure the longevity of a pump system and eliminate downtime which could affect production. However, the most important factor in ensuring that a pump system offers a long service life is to get the installation right. Even if the best engineering techniques are implemented; stringent selection processes are involved in getting a proper pump or correct application of pumping technology is used, the challenges a poor installation can throw at a pump system is hard to overcome. That is why we make it a duty to know the bare minimum requirements to ensure a good installation.
Our commissioning process abides within the world’s standard of operation where we ensure that all pumping systems, components, and processes are in accordance with the operational requirements of our client. We conduct process verification, facilitate documentation and pay attention to the facility’s system integration by making sure that the systems and its assembly are meticulously designed, properly installed, tested and operated to meet the project requirement of individual units and systems.
Maintenance is critical in the life cycle of a system as it aids in asset management, productivity and profitability. We have on stand-by pump experts who have been trained to ensure pump systems are maintained using the standard processes globally guaranteed to succeed.
